3rd October 2016 - Bye

Can't believe that it was our last Creative Thinking class.

I hate parting...

Will miss you a lot!

You are the best teacher! Thanks for your advices and I realized that you really tried to understand all of us. I will remember what you said : be more confident and don't be shy!

I used to think that you are just funny, open-minded. But after these 11 weeks' classes, I found that you are also attentive, passionate, and whole-heartedly love ART.

I'm sorry that I always not update my blog on time. I know you can understand me, right?haha.

Thanks for your teaching and I have really learned a lot. But I am very poor at expression, I hope you can feel my gratitude!

So glad to know you. Next time will ask Kenneth to bring me to your workshop! Hope to see you again! If you don't mind, can I still update my life at here with you?

Lastly, Wimmy loves you. Haha.

26th September 2016 - Empathy

Honestly, it was a heavy class. We sat in a circle and talked a lot.

- Last time I felt LOVE

I found it is quite hard to answer. Or I am now at the age which can't easily feel love?

Ezzam said, "Love YOURSELF, don't let anyone bring you down."
So, dear Fang Fei, pls love yourself more.

- Last time I felt FEAR

There are many accounts in which I can share because I'm very timid. Even a bird at hawker center can scare me also LOL.

Anger Index Game

1. Siblings use my personal items? 1
Actually I don;t care about that. I like sharing. You can use mine and I can use yours.

2. Heard rumours about me? 10
Experienced it before and I lost my best friend. It's a lesson to recognise who is your real friend.

3. Friend broke my project and without apologize? 10
I used to get mad of it. I'm easy to be irritable so be careful haha.

4. See picture of children in war area? 8
Why so hard to achieve the desire of a peaceful world?

5. Animal abuse? 3
Ohhhh, I don't really like animals. But I will still feel sad about that.

Let's talk about LOVE

1. What is love?
    Crush. Warm. Gentle.
Got a person who always cares about you.

2. How do you value love?
Pay my love to him/her, too.

What's EMPATHY  to me?

Always put yourself in others' shoes . if you feel that it hurts you , it probably hurts the person too

2nd Oct 2016

A day with my long lost friends! It's our class monitor's brother's wedding buffet, and we also discussed who will be the first marry among our class. Of course they said it's me, but sorry it couldn't be. LOL.

All of us studied in the same class for 6 years, so can you imagine how important they are for me? hahaha.

Quite shocked when we found that we have already graduated from secondary school almost one year! Timeflies is the most horrible.

23rd Sept 2016

My little boy came to disturb me. HAHA.
He is just a 4 years old child. When I was doing my CT blog, he came over and asked
:What are you doing?
:Rushing my homework. Hey,  baby you should sleep now, it's quite late already.
:Ok. Goodnight, I love you.

I hesitated.

How long I didnt say 'I love you' to my parents? I wonder when is the last time I said 'I love you' to them? Maybe 7 years old? 6 years old? Or even younger.

What makes me feel ashamed to say 'I love you' to my dearest parents? I say it several times to my boyfriend, my bestie, but I never tell my parents that - I love them TOO.

It's a thought-provoking night.

15th September 2016 - Blog Criticising

Okay, I would like to define this lesson as SPOTCHECK! OMG...it is too sudden and I even haven't completed my last week homework.

I am in group 6 and I was asked to go through group 7 members' blogs. They are Suby, Sofia and Eng Kiat.

Undeniably, it is to hard to evaluate their blogs since they all did better job than me. Thus, for me, I got no qualification to grade them. hahaha.

But I still need to compare their works. Obviously, Eng Kiat put more effort in his writings so that I choose his blog as the nicest. Suby and Sofia are average. So it is quite kink to choose the worse blog. End up, we decided to depend the degree of their blogs' completion. So, I am sorry, Sofia, I like your blog too but I was forced to make the ranking.(CRY...)

It was an awkward experience. You can assuredly speak out the best one but at the same time, you find strained to nominate the weakest one. You need to consider his/her feelings.

Battle Royale

He was so calm while demanding them to kill each other. Cruel game START.

First of all, this movie is not as horror and bloody as I expected, because compare with 'Saw', 'Final Destination', the methods they killed each other is just small case to me.😂

Undeniably, the story is quite similar with 'Hunger Game' - killing each other to be the survivor. But there is a difference which cause 'Battle Royale' game make me sadder. In 'Hunger Game', all the gamers don't know each other, so they can fight more cruelly, but in 'Battle Royale', all students have spend their memorable high school life together, how come they can kill their dearest friend.

By the way, if I am Noriko Nakagawa, I will never fall in love with Shuya Nanahara, as he is such a coward LOL. Shogo Kawada is really my type - brave, wise, and romantic. HAHAHA.

The character I like the most is Mitsuko Souma, who is really a WILD girl and be the last girl to die in the game. Of course she is cruel and pitiless, but her purpose is just to protect herself. She is a loner, she has no friend. she got bullied. I think these are the reason which make her becomes savage in the game because she does not want to be a loser in front of the bullies. Since she suffers from chilhood trauma, make me felt sympathy to her.

If I'm in this cruel game, I will commit suicide first.😂 This is too merciless, I can't take it.
But I will still wish to get a powerful weapon haha, maybe the bulletproof vest? Then no one can hurt me and I don't want to hurt anyone too. Hey, I am a PACIFIST.

It's too evil to pick out who I want to kill at first. Actually I don't have any idea about that. But if you really want me to choose, I will probably choose Rachel because sometimes she is damn FOOLISH!🙄 No offense, I just think that she is the easiest to be killed.Hahaha.

I suppose Richard and Kenneth will win the game🤔 Richard has a bossy face while Kenneth used to tell me that his shooting skill is quite good when he was in NS. LOL😂

2nd Sept 2016

That was a farewell night.
When your best friend fly to a far far away country, what you can feel is 'emptiness'.
Three of us knew each other since 13 and we studied in the same class for 6 years, which enough for us to build up a stable friendship. In those 6 years, we can meet and chat at anytime. But now, I am in Singapore, one is in Malaysia, and the rest one fly to UK for art performance study. We have to conquer the barrier of distance and time equation.
But wherever they are, they are still the person who know me. They know why I cry, and also know what the expression I try to hide.
Ya, we call this kind of friends as intimates.
So lucky to have you two, and hope we have wonderful 4 years study in each country.
Love you girls.❤️

22nd August 2016 - Lateral Thinking

Lateral thinking is a fresh word to me. Through the lecture, I simply understand that lateral thinking's purpose is to view things and think on the other side. We should not restrict our cogitation in the frame and this is what we called 'thinking out of the box'. For instance, the 9 dots exercise. If our thinking is limited in the grid, surely we can't get the answer.
Oh ya, teacher also shared the story 'The Crow and the Pitcher' to us. When the screen displayed the picture of the story, I amused. Of course I heard this story before, but recently the netizen discovered the blind spot of the story - the crow picked the stones from the riverside and finally it got to drink the water in the pitcher. You know what is the emphasis? Yes, RIVERSIDE! Hahahaha. So the crow's lateral thinking is stupid actually.😂😂 But I am not saying that lateral thinking is not a smart way, it surely has its benefits.

Edward de Bono

I

discusses Lateral Thinking

In the talk, Edward de Bono claimed that creativity is not a connate technique but is a skill which everyone can obtain through learning. And he named this skill as lateral thinking.
Besides initiating something new, creativity is also a significant tool which assists us to define and improve processes and products.

Edward de Bono was born on 19th May 1933 in Malta. He is a physician, psychologist, author, inventor and consultant. Dr. de Bono was the first person to propose that the human brain is a self organising system. He is the inventor of the phrase "Lateral Thinking" which is now in the Oxford English Dictionary.

Edward de Bono originated the term 'lateral thinking' in 1967. Lateral thinking's implication is to solve problems indirectly and creatively. According Edward de Bono, lateral thinking methods provide a deliberate, systematic process that will result in innovative thinking. Now, schools from over 20 countries use de Bono's thinking tools into their curriculum.

Dr. de Bono designed this system in 1985. It is a tool which is helpful for group discussion and individual thinking. 6 colours hats (white, yellow, black, red, green, blue) have different functions and roles. For me, I think the green hat is the most important as it focuses on creativity.

My own interpretation of this Edward de Bono quote is that there is no need for a mind if you are not open minded enough to accept changes. The mind is the brain, and the brain is basically useless and futile if it isn't stimulated by the many different ideas around you. A problem does not revolve around a single solution. If you never change your mind, you will never see things in a new light, so why have one?

My own take on this quote is that it motivates me to work for what i want rather than to wait and idle aimlessly, expecting to be "spotted out of the crowd". This tells me not to be the one waiting to grasp the perfect moment, but to be the one who CREATES the perfect moment. To be part of the crowd is easy, but to be OUTSTANDING requires more than just waiting and expecting something magical to happen. It requires initiative.

HEROES!!

Rio Olympics has ended and this time was Malaysia's most successful outing, winning a total of 5 medals! Congratulations to all medalists and thank you for striving for our country's honour.❤️
What today I want to share is, I found that Singaporeans do not keen to Olympics games like Malaysians. In Malaysia, we will even go to the 'Mamak' purposely to watch the match. At there, regardless of our races, we cheer for the winning and sigh for the failing.
But most of my Singaporean friends told me that they don't really care about Olympics. That day I was talking about Schooling's victory with my friend and she told me that she's just like : 'Oh ya, he won? Well.'
There is really a big contrast! You know, if Schooling is a Malaysian, we will hooray for him and Baskin Robbin will provide free ice cream as a celebration! And there is a holiday waiting for us hahaha.
By the way, I am an Olympics fan and I hope everyone loves Olympics too!

15th Aug 2016 - Mind Mapping

Mind mapping is not just a paper which is full of graphics, but it is also a method to make us think faster and easier! Map, by definition, is a picture or chart that shows the different parts of something. It guides you to think more and deeper. I will like to describe the mind map as a tree - the more branches and twigs you have, the more ideas and thoughts you gained.

NO IDEA...

Before we started our mind mapping discussion, I make a confession to one of my groupmates that I was really not satisfied to her attitude as she always keeps TEXTING and doesn't focus on our discussion! Hope my open-heartedness can make our groupworks be completed more favorably.

So unlucky that we got the hardest picture😭😭. The first time we saw the picture, we really had no idea about it. But the 10x2 technique helped us a lot! And for me, the observing and questioning are the more useful factors.

A day hung out with Laselle's friend.
She and I were at the same secondary school and we knew each other about 6 years. Only both of us study interior design in Singapore while others friends, who are also studying the said course, choose to stay in Malaysia.
So depressed that we are not in the same school, but this is also a good chance for us to exchange what we have learnt from our each school and also share our reviews. Hope that we can present well in these 3 years.👭
